Forest Carbon Management

Climate Change Central helped fund Pollution Probe's series of five workshops (including one in Alberta) on forest carbon management in Canada. The workshops looked at such things as potential sites for carbon sequestration in Canada's forests, research priorities, and barriers and incentives to sequestration.

C3 also led a workshop to promote forest carbon management (FCM) in Alberta. About 45 participants from a variety of forestry and emission-offset sectors learned about FCM in Canada and the potential for a pilot project in Alberta.
