Immigrant OutreachImmigrant Outreach, a collaborative project between newcomer agencies and environmental organizations in Alberta, is providing newcomers to Canada with information on how to save energy and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.With the publication of "How to Save Energy", a special edition English Express newsletter, Immigrant Outreach encourages newcomers to maintain conservation practices from their homeland and provides an increased awareness of environmental concerns in Alberta. The ESL newsletter features over 40 practical, affordable, energy-efficiency tips. Developed through Alberta Advanced Education and Technology, in partnership with the Calgary Foundation, Climate Change Central, and Immigrant Services Calgary, the newsletter has been distributed to 65,000 readers in ESL classrooms across Alberta.
