New low-flush/dual-flush rebate eligibility requirements

As of January 1, 2011, the eligibility criteria for rebates on low-flush/dual-flush toilets will be based on the WaterSense label instead of the ecoENERGY Retrofit Program.  The rebate amounts and application process will remain the same.

Why have we switched to WaterSense?

WaterSense toilets are clearly labelled and easy to identify in-store. They also have the highest flush performance on the market, meaning they use 20 per cent less water than the current standard, while still providing equal or superior performance.

What is WaterSense?

WaterSense is an American Environmental Protection Agency partnership program that makes it easy to choose water efficient products including toilets, showerheads, sinks and faucets. All products bearing the WaterSense label have been backed by third party, independent testing and are built to WaterSense specifications of efficiency and performance.  WaterSense labelled toilets achieve water efficiency through advanced technology, providing measurable water savings compared to other products in their category. Visit the WaterSense website for more information.

I bought a WaterSense labelled toilet before January 1, 2011, do I still qualify?

If you purchased a WaterSense labelled toilet prior to January 1, 2011 you may still qualify, provided it was on or after the start date outlined in the terms and conditions specific to your municipality's rebate.
