The City of Medicine Hat and the City of Edmonton are funding rebates to residents who complete eligible insulation upgrades. Note that municipal rebates may have different eligibility criteria.
All Albertans who participate in the federal government's ecoENERGY Retrofit Program, perform qualifying insulation upgrades, and undertake a post-retrofit evaluation on or after
January 1, 2009 are eligible for a provincial rebate.
A rebate is also available for Home Energy Evaluations. No application is necessary to receive a provincial insulation rebate. Once you have completed your post-retrofit energy evaluation, your Natural Resources Canada-certified energy advisor submits the required documentation to the ecoENERGY Retrofit Program which then provides C3 with the required information to issue a rebate cheque.
Please Note: The Government of Canada has renewed the federal grants as part of the ecoENERGY Retrofit Program effective June 6, 2011 to March 31, 2012. However, Natural Resources Canada has indicated that processing of federal grants will not start until September. This will cause a delay in C3 receiving the required information to process provincial rebates. For more information on the renewed ecoENERGY Retrofit Program click here.
