John Rilett

John Rilett is Vice President of Climate Change Central.

Since joining Climate Change Central in 2003, John has led multi-million dollar programs from proposal to deployment, assembling diverse partners and calmly facilitating multiple points of view at board room tables.  These include alternative transportation fuels and technologies for the commercial transport sector; renewable energy and energy efficiency programs for consumers and small businesses; as well as initiatives designed to support carbon offsets and emissions trading programs. This has been accomplished by working closely with the federal and provincial governments, municipalities, industry associations and private sector stakeholders.

John also chairs the newly-formed Alberta Energy Efficiency Alliance, sits on the Clean Air Strategic Alliance’s Vehicle Emission Team and has been named to the Alberta Motor Transport Association GHG Coordinating Committee.

On weekends, John can be found on the back roads on his bicycle, or watching trains with his two sons.
