Wayne Rousch, P.Eng. Wayne has more than 35 years in the energy industry where he has participated in a number of large energy infrastructure projects in Australia, Mexico and across North America. For 23 years, Wayne was employed within the Nova Corporation primarily in the unregulated energy businesses including 11 years with Pan-Alberta Gas Ltd., as their Vice-President, Gas Supply. In 1995, Wayne began the Midstream Business in Western Canada through the formation of Novagas Clearinghouse Ltd., as Vice-President, Project Development and Novagas Canada Ltd., as the Vice-President External Affairs and New Ventures. During this period, Novagas developed a dominant natural gas and natural gas liquids infrastructure company. With the TransCanada Pipeline merger with Nova Corporation in 1998, Wayne left Nova Corporation and formed Cambria Energy Inc., an energy consulting practice, with several oil and gas clients. During 1999 and early 2000, Wayne assisted Paramount Resources Ltd. in the development of a natural gas pipeline into the Northwest Territories. In May 2000, Wayne joined Emera Inc. as Senior Vice-President, Business Development. While with Emera, Wayne was a senior member of the Executive Team and a member of the Corporate Risk Management Committee. Wayne also developed Emera Energy, a non-regulated energy company that had a business focus in Atlantic Canada and the Northeastern US. Emera Energy developed an asset portfolio that included a marketing and trading organization, a fuel oil distribution company, and ownership positions in several natural gas pipelines, natural gas power generation and storage projects and a natural gas liquids storage project. With the formation and operation of Emera Energy, Wayne returned to Western Canada and expanded Cambria Energy into an energy consulting and investment company. Presently, through CR Fuels Inc., a bio-village energy park is under development in Alberta. Wayne also serves as a Director of Forent Energy Inc. Wayne has been very active with the United Way in Calgary and Halifax. Wayne has also taken the role of Vice-Chairman of the Halifax Science Discovery Center. Wayne is a registered practicing Professional Engineer in Alberta graduating in Chemical Engineering at the University of Calgary. |
