Ross Risvold
 Ross Risvold recently retired as mayor of Hinton, Alberta after 12 years of municipal experience. He is a strategic thinker who translates ideas into action. Through the Federation of Canadian Municipalities and other venues, he continues to work with elected officials from Canadian resource and rural communities. Mr. Risvold has been involved provincially, nationally and internationally on climate change issues, research and implementation. He focuses on representing and strengthening Canadian resource communities' sustainable development by building partnerships with agencies involved in research and knowledge transfer.
