Patricia McCunn-Miller

Patti McCunn-Miller is past Executive Vice-President, Corporate Responsibility and General Counsel for Synenco Energy Inc., where she was responsible for corporate responsibility, environment health and safety, legal and regulatory affairs as well as public affairs, including stakeholder engagement. She served from 1998 to 2005 as Vice-Chair and Member of the National Roundtable on the Environment and the Economy (NRTEE).

Patti has more than twenty years experience working in the energy sector and addressing the economic, environmental and social impacts of energy development. She has worked not only in the business sector but also as a regulator during her tenure as a Member of the National Energy Board.

Prior to joining Synenco Energy, Patti held senior positions within the Energy sector including, Vice President, Environment and Regulatory Affairs for EnCana Corporation, Vice President and General Counsel at ESBI Alberta Ltd., Alberta's electric transmission administrator, Managing Director of Environment and Regulatory for PanCanadian Energy, and General Counsel and Corporate Secretary for the Alberta Petroleum Marketing Commission.

Patti received her LL.B from the University of Ottawa in 1982 and holds the professional designation of corporate director (ICD.D) She is currently a member of the Law Society of Alberta, and has served on numerous organizations as chair or director, including the Canadian Petroleum Law Foundation and the Association of General Counsel of Alberta.
