About Us

Late in 1999, the Alberta government brought private and public sector leaders together to find an effective way to manage climate change challenges in the province. The concept of Climate Change Central was formed and, in 2000, the public-private not-for-profit organization was officially launched.

Everything we do is focused on reducing greenhouse gases - policy, energy efficiency, technology development, environmental communications...the list goes on. These are the tasks and our goal is clear: to empower Albertans to take action on climate change.
